In Loving Memory of Grandma Nelson.

We Miss you! Freda Joyce Nelson my Husbands Dad's Mom had a stroke on Wed August 20th and left our world on Friday August 22 2008 at 3:00PM. She is in a much better place now with her loving Husband who she hasn't seen in many years. We wish you a wonderful reunion Grandma and Grandpa RIP. Just some of the many Grand Children

The Funeral was very nice Grandma would be very proud. everyone did a wonderful job. The Grand kids sang a song and the Great Grand kids sang a song and there was some more songs sung by the family as well. As you can tell there is some major music talent on the Nelson side of the family. After everything was all over we all crammed ourselves into grandmas tiny apartment and went through her stuff by pulling names and picking what we wanted. This took hours but it was very fun to spend the time with the family and being able to get things to remember Grandma by, even if it was extremely hot and sticky in the apartment with 20+ people in it...lol Charlee was so tired when we got home she fell asleep at 6:00pm and slept until 5:00am.
We have many wonderful memories of Grandma Nelson. Like the time we Tee Peed Jerry Louis's house in her honor because he made her stand up and say Prayer at church. For those of you who don't know Grandma she is not a public speaker she prefers to listen instead of speak in front of people so this made her very uncomfortable. So a bunch of us decided to defend Grandma and Tee Pee Jerry's house in the middle of the day on Sunday while he was still at church. Imagine his surprise when he got home. He never asked Grandma to say prayer in front of everyone again....lol Another memory is AVON AVON AVON. Grandma was an AVON Consultant and if they had a plane to give her for all she sold she would have had it ....lol Duane and I ended up taking home all of her Avon supplies a hole UHAL Box full. I will never have to by bubble bath again....lol Grandma used to give everyone goodie bags for Christmas full of fun AVON stuff with every thing wrapped individualy even the chapsticks. I love AVON so I always couldn't wait to see what I would get from Grandma. She would also give everyone a Christmas decoration yes from the AVON catalog but they have some really nice stuff. She has also bought Blankets for all the kids from the AVON as well and my daughter's sleep with them every night. Heavin's favorite blanket is one I got at my baby shower from grandma 8 years ago and it is still Heavin's Favorite Blanket she is never with out it I mean never. I am going to have to tell her she can't bring it to prom with her that or make Dad be the bad guy.....lol
